The telescope at the Queen’s Observatory has been at its current location on the roof of Ellis Hall since 1958. The observatory will next be open to the public on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. (B. Shiva Mayer)

Starry, starry night

Today, stargazing remains both a popular hobby and research pursuit. Last Saturday, the Kingston chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) and the Queen’s physics department held an open house at the Queen’s Observatory.
