Whilst engineering students got greasy and the ArtScis faced a trial by shaving cream, Journal photographers Matthew Rushworth and Tyler Ball documented the dirt and peat moss. From hot days to a hillside concert, the class of 2012 made their Queen’s debut.

Each year Queen’s and RMC go head to head for the 22nd Carr-Harris Cup. The annual game showcases the historic rivalry between two of Canada’s oldest collegiate hockey teams. Journal assistant photo editor Joshua Chan was there to capture the spirit of a Canadian university classic. Queen’s won 4-2.

In the end it took just one ballot. After waiting throughout the night and into the early morning, it was determined that team RWS won over ACH by just one vote. Journal photo editors Harrison Smith and Joshua Chan were with each team to document the suspense, joy and sadness of election night.
