The language barrier

Yesterday, students and faculty gathered to rally for the protection of language programs at Queen’s. With Queen’s facing 20 per cent in budget cuts over the next three years, faculty and students are increasingly concerned about which departments will be most affected.

Reuse to reduce

If you thought Jock Harty was gone for good this time, think again. After his namesake bit the dust for the third time, the ghost of the hockey great will take up residence in the Queen’s Centre.

Farewell, RWS

With one week of classes left and a month before they pass the torch to their successors, members of executive team Radcliffe, Wang and St. Clair say their three-pronged campaign platform was effectively accomplished. RWS’s promise to combat racism through equity training was a major part of their electoral campaign.

City to further trim its waste

Starting in September, the Ghetto will get an organic makeover with the introduction of a new composting system. Over the past four weeks, the City of Kingston has distributed approximately 37,000 Green Bins to homeowners across the city.
