Men’s volleyball

Coming off a successful first season with men’s volleyball ending with a place on the CIS all-rookie team, Joren Zeeman avoided the sophomore slump. This season, the second-year outside hitter posted 209 kills, 17 service aces and 73 digs during the regular season, helping the Gaels to their OUA silver medal. He was selected as a CIS second team All-Star and an OUA first team All-Star.

Leslie Sexton
Track and field

Fourth-year long distance runner Leslie Sexton battled injury this season to cap off a successful year with the track and field team. She won second at the OUA track and field championships in the 3,000-metre race but was injured, keeping her from competing in the

national championships.

Brady Morrison
Men’s hockey

The men’s hockey goalie was one of the few bright lights in a dim year for the Gaels. Filling the big shoes of Ryan Gibb admirably, Brady Morrison was in net for 11 of Queen’s 12 wins this season, stopping 851 shots, posting a save percentage of .933 and a goals against average of 2.47. For his efforts this year he was selected as the top goaltender in the

OUA East.

Brittany Moore
Women’s basketball

Brittany Moore completed another successful year with the Gaels, coming off a first year in which she was named to the OUA all-rookie team and selected as the OUA East Rookie of the Year. The guard posted 392 points this season, good enough for second in the province and fourth in the country. She also shattered the Queen’s record for most points in a game, scoring 40 points against the Royal Military College Paladins on Jan. 7. She was chosen as one of the OUA East first team all-stars.

Michael Nishiyama
Track and field

Michael Nishiyama ended this track and field season with a fistful of medals at the provincial level and a near-miss on the national stage. Just before the OUA championships, he won gold in the 600m race and a second gold with the

4×400-metre team. At the OUAs, he won a silver medal with the 4×400-metre team and at nationals he and the 4×400-metre team barely missed the podium, finishing fourth by half a second.

Natalie Gray
Women’s volleyball

Rookie outside hitter Natalie Gray capped off her first season with the Gaels successfully, posting 164 kills, 201 digs and 193 points en route to the Gaels clinching the last playoff spot in the OUA East. She was rewarded with a place on the OUA all-rookie team for her strong performances this season.
