Standing room only for Vanier

Since the early 1960s, the Vanier Cup has been held in a neutral location. It was held at the University of Toronto’s Varsity Stadium until 1988 before moving down the street to the SkyDome. It has also been held in Hamilton’s Ivor Wynne Stadium.

Unhappy homecoming for men’s hockey

After a six-game road trip, the Gaels’ efforts at home went unrewarded last weekend during a two-game set against the Windsor Lancers. With momentum from two wins last weekend at Trois-Rivières and Royal Military College, the men’s hockey team came home to Kingston looking to improve upon their .500 record.

Women’s volleyball close out Bartlett in style

The women’s volleyball team improved their season record to 4-4 after winning both of their matchups this weekend against the Toronto Varsity Blues and the Ryerson Rams. On Friday the Gaels hosted Toronto, winning in five sets.

Women’s hockey keeps streak rolling

The women’s hockey team knocked off the Windsor Lancers and Western Mustangs on the road this weekend, extending their winning streak to three games. The win moved the Gaels to a 9-2-1 record, maintaining their seventh-place national ranking.

Gaels finish 2009 on high

The men’s volleyball team closed out Bartlett Gym’s volleyball-hosting life last weekend with a pair of wins over the University of Toronto Varsity Blues and the Ryerson Rams. On Friday, the Gaels defeated the Blues in straight sets.

Vanier Cup champs

As the Queen’s football team headed to the dressing room down 18 points after the first half of the 45th Vanier Cup, it looked as though their improbable playoff run was finally coming to an end.
