AMS Commissioner of Internal Affairs resigns

Miriam Bart, the AMS commissioner of internal affairs, has resigned due to personal reasons.

Bart’s resignation is the fourth in the AMS this year. Catherine Wright, who served as vice president (university affairs), Benjamin Bourne, clubs manager, and Read Leask, academic affairs commissioner, also resigned this year.

The AMS executive accepted Bart’s resignation on Thursday. It takes effect immediately.

“We thank Miriam for her dedication to her role and service to the AMS, and wish her the best at this time,” the executive stated in a press release.

The hiring process for the Commissioner of Internal Affairs position will begin in the coming days, according to the release.
