2016-17 AMS executive team announced

On Feb. 9, the recently elected 2016-17 AMS executive — Tyler Lively, David Walker and Carolyn Thompson — announced the team of students that will join them as the AMS Executive Team for the following year.

The process of hiring the Executive Team — previously called the AMS Council — included reviewing 64 applications and two rounds of interviews. The hiring of the 2016-17 service and government managers will be announced after Reading Week, according to the AMS.

The Journal was unable to obtain interviews with the new team in time for print, as the announcement was made on Tuesday night. We’ll update this story as we receive more information.
