When it comes to men's fashion, I think the best place to find inspiration is on the streets. Stylish men are able to take a runway look and make it wearable; the trend is present and the look is achieved, but it’s done in a way that’s more practical and affordable. I scoured online blogs and magazines and picked out 20 wearable trends to try. Take note, have fun with it and kick off your year in style.

1. The Brown Dress Shoe: A staple in every guy's wardrobe & nice alternative to black.
2. The Coloured Pant: Pair with a neutral/graphic tee for day or a fitted blazer for night.
3. The Peacoat: Can never go wrong with a classic; beige, black, navy...anything goes. Update the look with a coloured or printed scarf.
4. The Statement Watch: One of the best ways to add subtle style & sophistication. Even the most conservative can easily wear a bold watch that has impact.
5. The Stylized Haircut: Try something different than your usual crew cut; a good haircut shows confidence and brings a look together. Look to Ryan Gosling in Crazy Stupid Love or James Dean for inspiration.
6. The Jean Jacket: Choose a softer denim to avoid looking too 80's. Perfect for transitioning from summer into fall, try wearing it over a thin hoodie or with a crew neck for a relaxed, easy going look.
7. The Three Piece Suit: Up the ante with a vest...you'll look boss and stand out from the crowd (in a good way).
8. The Graphic Tee: An easy way to inject some style; a graphic updates your basic tee and looks equally great under a cardigan or blazer.
9. The Pocket Square: A small accent with a big impact. Go one step further and match it to your tie, you'll look like a style pro.
10. The Cuffed Pant: A subtle detail that updates your standard jean and draws attention to a great pair of kicks.
11. The Desert Boot: Practical and versatile, their rugged nature keeps things real and is a great alternative to your traditional top siders.
12. The Hightop Kicks: Go all out with a coloured jean for a retro feel, or keep things safe with a neutral pant.
13. The (P)leather Jacket: A timeless piece that you can wear at any age; opt for a fitted racer style with a stand up button tab collar. Very versatile and can be dressed down with a classic hoodie.
14. The Plaid Shirt: Large print or small, it does all the work for you. Simply tuck it in for a job interview or wear it untucked with denim for a night out at Ale.
15. The Printed Short: Don't let the hot weather hamper your style; try a thin pinstripe if bold prints aren't your thing.
16. The Navaho Sweater: A more sophisticated alternative to your typical hoodie or crew-neck sweater. Perfect for cool summer nights at the cottage as well as the fall and winter season.
17. The Square Tie: A subtle style detail that shows you care a thing or two about fashion without going out of your comfort zone.
18. The Retro Sunglasses: Stylish and functional, these add a touch of style to both sporty, and more fashion forward looks.
19. The Classic Jeans and White Tee Combo: Never fails. Play around with this look by sporting a small v-neck, different denim washes and shoe styles (anything from Tom's to beat up brown leather boots).
20. The Stylized Specs: If you've got glasses have fun with them; a great frame is really flattering. These are hugely popular on the streets.
