Garth Drabinsky stopped by the Journal house on Tuesday before speaking to Queen’s drama students about the new CBC reality series Triple Sensation. The series, which Drabinsky is producing and helping to judge, is searching for performers aged 16-26 who are triply gifted in
singing, acting and dancing. The winner will receive a $150,000 scholarship to a performing arts
school of their choice.

“My initial excitement over the performing arts was sitting in the back row of rehearsal in a
high school auditorium in Grade 9, watching Molliere’s Imaginary Invalid being rehearsed by a Grade
13 class,” Drabinsky said. “I knew that I wanted to be part of the process. I ultimately managed to
convince the head of drama to let me be in the jury in Inherit the Wind ... That was my first and last
acting experience.”
