Men’s hockey beats RMC 4-1

Brady Olsen scored two goals as the men’s hockey team beat RMC 4-1 in exhibition play on Saturday.

The game was the second annual Lou Jeffries game, held in Gananoque to honour the late Lou Jeffries, longtime Queen’s hockey supporter.

Jon Asselstine and Rob Cattallo scored the other Queen’s goals, while Mike Bushby had two assists.

Ryan Gibb made 26 saves for the win.

The game was a chippy affair, with 64 penalty minutes handed out. Many of the penalties were a result of RMC crowding the Queen’s net trying to unnerve Gibb.

Luke Pierce scored RMC’s lone goal in the second period.

The Gaels next play an exhibition game Wednesday at RMC.
