Professor evaluations now available online

Students can now scout their professors’ reputations online before signing up for classes.

The AMS Academic Affairs Commission has launched a new website called whatswhat.ca where information collected through the University Survey of Student Assessment of Teaching (USAT) is posted. Students can look up results by professor, course or average score.

In previous years, the AMS has published a course companion called “What’s What” to help students choose their courses. Both the publication and the website contain only the information released to the AMS by the Registrar’s Office with the permission of each professor.

This year, 60 per cent of professors agreed to make their evaluations public.
