Team MKV secured a vote of confidence from students to become the Commerce Society’s 2020-21 executives on Jan. 27.
The team was elected with a 95 per cent majority, according to current ComSoc President Alana Losier.
MKV is comprised of Presidential candidate Seby Monsalve, Vice-President (Student Affairs) candidate Michelle Kong, and Vice-President candidate (Operations) Will Van Vliet, all Comm ’21.
The team ran uncontested in this year’s executive election. Voter turnout was 23 per cent.
Team MKV told The Journal they hope to make a meaningful impact within the Queen’s Commerce environment while also boosting ComSoc’s visibility within the program.
"We promise to increase ComSoc's visibility in the program and we are confident that we will deliver on our platform of Community, Accessibility, and Accountability," the team wrote in a statement to The Journal. "We are incredibly grateful that we have been entrusted with this opportunity to give back to the program we love so much."
