Submit your short story or poem to be featured on The Scramble, The Queen’s Journal podcast

One winner will be selected from each category

Deadline: March 8 at midnight. 


Eligibility: Queen’s students from any year and faculty


Length Requirements: For the short story, your work must be 600-2000 words. For the poem, your work can be a maximum of 600 words with no minimum requirement.


Submission guidelines: Email your story or poem as a Word document to The subject line of your email should include your name and clarify whether your work is a short story or poem. Do not include your name in the word document. Simply title your document with the name of your story or poem. Each entry will be read anonymously. 


Prize: The winners will read a segment of their story and poem on an episode of our podcast—airing on March 12, and get their work published on The Queen’s Journal website.
