Emily Yeung elected ResSoc President

Election saw turnout of 241 students

Yeung ‘honoured’ to be elected incoming ResSoc President.

On Jan. 25, Residence Society (ResSoc) President Roshael Chellappah announced over Zoom that Emily Yeung, HealthSci ’23, was voted incoming ResSoc President for the 2022-23 year.

Voting took place on Jan. 24. This year’s election saw a turnout of 241 students, 93 per cent of whom supported Yeung as next year’s ResSoc president, effectively securing her voter confidence.

Yeung thanked everyone who voted for her.

“I’m honoured to be the incoming president for ResSoc next year,” Yeung said during the election result announcement.

Yeung looks forward to working with ResSoc to implement initiatives outlined in her platform.
