Though any personal favourite Taylor Swift album is valid—I will always be attached to Red, for instance—no one can deny that, objectively, her best is Folklore.

The snow has arrived in Kingston, and with it comes end-of-semester assignments and exams. But we should keep our chins up: the winter break is right around the corner.

Am I the only person who feels that Disney gave us misleading ideas about hair? While, ideally, we would all love to wake up to a head of big, bouncy waves—and a prince calling up to our window, for that matter—unfortunately, this isn’t the reality for most.

Sex is very confusing, but there’s one thing I’ve always been certain of: for some reason, straight men are obsessed with anal sex.

Women watch porn—in fact, they make up 32 per cent of Pornhub’s viewership. This may seem like an arbitrary statement, but it’s important in understanding the Porn Gap.

The Christmas holidays are, as the popular tune goes, a wonderful time of year. They’re full of family, bright decorations, and celebration, as well as some classic songs. However, timing is everything. Beginning our celebration three months before December—before Halloween even has a chance to occur—is just too early.

Returning home for Thanksgiving means turkey, cool weather, and awkward family moments. The Journal’s staff recount their quirkiest holiday stories.

My first year had a lot of benchmarks of classic university life: underage drinking, meeting new people, and realizing that having sex without a relationship is okay. After years of idolizing romantic comedies, I wanted to see what a Friends with Benefits relationship would look like with me as one half of it.

As we retire our shorts to the back of our closets and dust off our sweaters, it’s getting harder and harder to ignore the brisk weather and splashes of changing leaves. Love it or hate it, summer is winding down, and there’s no denying that fall’s right around the corner.

This summer, many of us have been unable to take full advantage of the long-awaited patio season. With only a few months left when it’s truly pleasant to be outside, I explored some safe and fun ways for Queen’s students to take advantage of patio season as we continue to adapt to the ‘new normal.’

We’re about two weeks into social distancing orders from public health agencies, and while a lot of students are figuring out how to finish up final assignments from home, others are already fatigued from binge-watching YouTube videos for the tenth day in a row.

You don’t need to watch every Avengers movie to know that most superheroes keep their identities secret.

You don’t need to watch every Avengers movie to know that most superheroes keep their identities secret. Though they help save people from everything from bus crashes to super villains to giant aliens, they usually do so while disguised in spandex suits complete with a mask.

You don’t need to watch every Avengers movie to know that most superheroes keep their identities secret. Though they help save people from everything from bus crashes to super villains to giant aliens, they usually do so while disguised in spandex suits complete with a mask. Thankful citizens can throw them a parade, but it’s hard to thank someone you’ve never seen.

I’m Audrey Helpburn, The Journal’s resident advice-giver. I answer questions about love, friendship, school, and more to help Queen’s students put their best foot forward on and around campus.

If you were to represent Canada’s economy with one number, it would be approximately 1.712 trillion.

The snow is melting, the birds are chirping, and the sun is peeking out at us from behind the clouds. This can only mean one thing: spring is finally here.

Navigating an upscale menu is like playing Russian roulette. There are always a few entrées that are more ‘fancy’ than they are full of flavour. And, given that most upscale restaurants serve small portions, there’s a good chance you’ll end up craving McDonald’s after your meal.

I’m Meryl Sleep, Queen’s resident dream interpreter. I analyze dreams in an effort to decode the symbols in each Queen’s student’s subconscious. Today’s dream involves a deck of cards, a current crush, and an elementary school friend.

Last school year, I didn’t date much. I justified it by telling myself I was too busy and it was smarter to focus on school work than on my love life.
