The winter cold did nothing to dampen the action of Gaels’ sports.
From hope to hearbreak, in rain, snow and sunshine, Journal photographers Matthew Rushworth and Tyler Ball were on the sidelines to capture the ups and downs of Queen’s fall athletics.
Rain, purple and otherwise, did nothing to mar the events of Queen’s most infamous event.
Whilst engineering students got greasy and the ArtScis faced a trial by shaving cream, Journal photographers Matthew Rushworth and Tyler Ball documented the dirt and peat moss. From hot days to a hillside concert, the class of 2012 made their Queen’s debut.
Rookies were the driving force behind much of the Gaels’ second-term success.
Each year Queen’s and RMC go head to head for the 22nd Carr-Harris Cup.
The annual game showcases the historic rivalry between two of Canada’s oldest collegiate hockey teams. Journal assistant photo editor Joshua Chan was there to capture the spirit of a Canadian university classic. Queen’s won 4-2.
