Queen’s Student Constables and Golden Words fee increases fail to gain support while all other fees pass

The results of the 2016 Winter Referendum have been released by the AMS. Only two fees failed to pass — both were mandatory. The results are as follows:

Passed:

Jack.org Queen’s Chapter establishes an opt-out fee of $0.30.

Levana Gender Advocacy Centre establishes an opt-out fee of $1.00.

MEDLIFE Queen’s establishes an opt-out fee of $0.30.

MUSE Magazine establishes an opt-out fee of $0.50.

Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG) Kingston at Queen’s University establishes an opt-out fee of $3.00.

Queen’s Bridge Building Team establishes an opt-out fee of $0.25.

Queen’s Female Leadership in Politics (QFLIP) establishes an opt-out fee of $0.25.

Queen’s Healthcare and Business Conference establishes an opt-out fee of $0.50.

Right to Play Queen’s establishes an opt-out fee of $0.20.

Robogals Queen’s establishes an opt-out fee of $0.25.

Undergraduate Ontario Science Case Competition Queen’s establishes an opt-out fee of $0.15.

Camp Outlook increases its opt-out fee from $0.85 to $1.00, an increase of $0.15.

Nyantende Foundation increases its opt-out fee from $0.25 to $0.75, an increase of $0.50.

Queen’s Free the Children increases its opt-out fee from $1.50 to $1.89, an increase of $0.39.

Queen’s Space Engineering Team increases its opt-out fee from $0.50 to $0.69, an increase of $0.19.

Queen’s University Experimental Sustainability Team’s increases its opt-out fee from $0.25 to $0.35, an increase of $0.10.

TedX Queen’s increases its opt-out fee from $0.75 to $1.00, an increase of $0.25.

Kingston Youth Shelter maintains its opt-out fee of $0.85.

The Positive Space Program maintains its opt-out fee of $0.25.

Queen’s Backing Action on Climate Change maintains its opt-out fee of $0.50.

Queen’s for OOCH maintains its opt-out fee of $0.25.

Queen’s Half the Sky maintains its opt-out fee of $0.25.

Queen’s Health Outreach maintains its opt-out fee of $3.75.

Queen’s Project on International Development maintains its opt-out fee of $2.00.

Queen’s Shinerama maintains its opt-out fee of $0.75.

Queen’s Social Investment Initiative maintains its opt-out fee of $0.70.

Queen’s Soul Food maintains its opt-out fee of $0.10.

Queen’s Legal Aid maintains its mandatory fee of $5.00.

World University Service of Canada (WUSC) maintains its mandatory fee of $1.95.

Failed to pass:

Golden Words failed to increase its mandatory fee from $2.00 to $2.25, an increase of $0.25.

Queen’s Student Constables failed to increase its mandatory fee from $10.53 to $11.53, an increase of $1.00.
