EngSoc extends nomination period for faculty election

Society hopes to ‘encourage more participation’

Engineering Society executive election postponed to later date.  

On Jan. 20, the Engineering Society (EngSoc) announced their decision to extend the nomination period for their faculty election. The original nomination period ended on Jan. 19, with campaigning week scheduled to take place Jan. 24 to 31 and elections scheduled to conclude by Feb. 3.

Currently, EngSoc has extended the nomination deadline to Jan. 23 at 5:30 p.m.

“We extended all positions to encourage more participation,” Andrew da Silva, EngSoc’s Director of Governance, wrote in an email statement to The Journal.

“Further details on our candidates will be published in the coming weeks.”
