Who are you?
Fezz Stenton.
Where can someone find you?
Three of us live in Toronto: Jess, Mark and Adam. And myself, I still live in Guelph. Kyle lives and works in Cambridge. We practice in Toronto once a week, though. I’m in school, doing a general in arts.
When did you meet?
We met here in Guelph. We’re all connected to it in various ways.
When did you start making music together?
Would’ve been about four or five years ago now. I came to Guelph to do college and stuff. I wanted to start a band and went to a lot of shows so the people I met there pointed me in the right direction. I wound up with the core members of the band drumming that way. Eventually Adam came on as our main drummer later on.
How would you describe your music to someone who’s never heard it before?
It’s good party music, fun to dance to and high energy. We make it for people to have fun to.
What inspires you?
People dancing and loud noises.
What are your current obsessions?
Analog synthesizers.
When someone says Kingston, you say?
Jail? You don’t really want to say that though.
What are your hopes for the upcoming Kingston gig?
I think it’ll be a good time, looks like a great lineup. We’ll be DJing as well premiering our new remixes of four of our friends, Think About Life, Diamond Rings, Woodhands, Gregory Pepper and one of our own songs, “Watch Your Step.” The whole project will be free for download on our website on April 1.
