Leslie Doucet, a global development studies graduate student and teaching assistant, died last Friday due to complications from a stroke she suffered a month ago.
Doucet received her Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s and was working as a research assistant and teaching assistant in the global development studies department.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow in the JDUC’s Wallace Hall at 5:00 p.m.
Doucet’s sons Chance, 24, and Trinity, 21, plan to fly her to the Yukon where her late husband Kirk is buried.
Donations are being accepted to help them cover the cost. Donation boxes can be found in the sociology department office, development studies office and at the Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre.
