In a Nov. 7 email sent to all AMS staff, President Tyler Lively announced that Wayne Pender has filled the permanent AMS position of Information Officer.

Pender will officially take on the role on Nov. 14. According to Lively’s email, “Wayne has an extensive background in communications and information management, including a Masters in Library Science from McGill University, and brings a great deal of expertise to the AMS.”

Pender will be replacing former AMS Information Officer, Greg McKellar, whose retirement was announced at the end of the 2016 winter semester in April. McKellar worked for the AMS for nearly thirty years.
