I’ve been a dedicated fan of alt-pop sensation Remi Wolf for quite some time now. She’s the talented singer-songwriter behind popular hits like “Disco Man” and “Photo ID,” which features Dominic Fike.
As her much-anticipated sophomore album Big Ideas is set to release on July 12, I’ve been bumping her upbeat music nonstop. The album’s first single, “Cinderella,” embodies everything I adore about Wolf, from her cheeky ear-worm lyrics to funky instrumentals.
It’s fantastic to see such a talented artist receiving the recognition she deserves, so I highly recommend giving Remi Wolf a listen this week. It’s sure to uplift your mood.

After attending the English department’s Scotiabank Giller Prize event last Monday, I’m keenly interested in diving into Sarah Bernstein’s Study For Obedience.
The award-winning novel follows an unnamed narrator who moves to an isolated location to become a caretaker for her brother and grapples with ostracization and unexplainably chilling occurrences.
If you’re in need of a poetic read, the book is well worth adding to your list. I plan on listening to the audiobook, which is powerfully narrated by the author.

Though I may be late to the trend, my recent obsession with Netflix’s Alone: The Arctic knows no bounds.
This gripping survival competition series thrusts contestants into the unforgiving Arctic wilderness, armed with nothing more than a scant supply cache and personal camera equipment, challenging them to endure the harsh elements for as long as they can survive.
Understandably, participants can tap out at any moment—an option that seems increasingly tempting given the dire circumstances they face. Few things allow me to unwind as effectively as watching others live out my worst fears on Alone: The Arctic.

The importance of sunscreen—a mantra championed by parents and camp counsellors my whole life, yet somehow, I still require a reminder.
With the UV index rising and the impulse to sunbathe growing stronger, it’s crucial not to overlook this vital step in your self-care. Today, sunscreen has evolved beyond mere protection; it’s now a trendsetter in the skincare world, with leading brands incorporating UV-protectant formulations into their popular products.
Consider testing out Supergoop!’s Unseen Sunscreen, or Summer Friday’s Mineral Milk Sunscreen, not only for their trendy appeal but to encourage skin safety during this sunny season. Your future skin will thank you.

As a student, I’m no stranger to choosing cheaper alternatives over ethical products. However, I’m committed to changing this mindset, and The Keep Refillery is instrumental in helping me do so.
Situated downtown on Princess St, this sustainable store is dedicated to reducing plastic and material waste by providing waste-free products and encouraging the reuse and repurposing of containers. Customers can bring in their cleaned, used containers, have them weighed, and start filling.
While personal care is crucial, so is environmental stewardship, and The Keep Refillery excels in offering ethical self-care and hygiene solutions.
