The Peer Support Centre (PSC) has commenced normal operations following a brief closure.
On Sept. 6, the PSC communicated their closure through an Instagram post which didn’t provide a timeline on reopening or provide reasons for reopening. After the closure, a Sept. 12 Instagram post on the PSC account highlighted the service was reopened for students.
The PSC offers resources to students at-large with a focus on providing marginalized students support through the service’s branches BIPOC Talk and Queers4Peers.

AMS Communications Director Mikayla Crawford said the PSC looks forward to serving the community and promoting mental health while fostering a positive environment on campus.
“The PSC along with its branch services, BIPOC Talk and Queers4Peers, is fully operational and open for regular hours. Operational focus was shifted to provide staffing for the various events during Orientation week to then open the second week of September,” Crawford said in a statement to The Journal.
