Following PSAC 901’s vote to strike on Feb. 14, the union has announced a tentative agreement has been reached with Queen’s.
In a bargaining communique released by PSAC on Feb. 21, the union said the vote pushed Queen’s to take their demands more seriously.
“On Saturday morning we were finally able to come to a tentative deal that we can bring to the membership with our full support,” the communique said.
The communique noted that acceptance of the tentative agreement will depend on a ratification vote from union membership in the coming weeks.
“More information about the tentative agreement and ratification vote will be forthcoming,” the communique read.
“The bargaining team wholeheartedly supports the deal and believe that it is the strongest deal possible under the constraints of Bill 124.”
