Women’s rugby falls to Gryphons
In their last regular season game of the year, the Gaels were defeated 42-0 by the still perfect Guelph Gryphons. The game, which took place at Guelph on Oct. 4, was dominated by the Gryphons’ Brittany Benn who led all scorers with 17 points on three tries and one conversion. Although the Gaels were outmatched, it was one of the closer results for Guelph, who has won every game this season by at least 40 points and has outscored their opposition 234-7. The Gaels face Trent in the quarter-finals where they will be looking for payback after a close 18-15 loss earlier this season.
