Hulse earns trio of OUA honours
Track and field runner Matt Hulse was named the Male Community Service award winner, the track events most valuable performer and an OUA All-Star on Wednesday.
The awards come after Hulse earned one gold medal and two silvers at the OUA Championships in Toronto.
Hulse, Queen’s only OUA All-Star, competes at the CIS championships in Windsor this weekend.

Three Gaels receive OUA East recognition
Women’s basketball wing Maddie Soye was named this year’s Joy Bellinger Award winner for recognition of outstanding service to the sport and advancement of university athletics.
Guard Brittany Moore was named an OUA East First-Team All-Star, while wing Katie Guthrie was named to the OUA East’s second team.

Volleyball off to OUA Final Four with all-star recognition
The men’s volleyball team beat the University of Toronto Varsity Blues in straight sets last Friday to secure their ticket to Hamilton for the OUA Final Four tournament.
Also on Friday, outside hitter Joren Zeeman and middle hitter Michael Amoroso were named OUA East First-Team All-Stars, while outside hitter Will Sidgwick was named to the OUA East’s All-Rookie team.
The Final Four tournament starts tonight when the Gaels take on the first-place Western Mustangs in semifinal action at 8 p.m.

Trio of men’s hockey players named to OUA All-Rookie team
Forwards Payton Liske and Jordan Mirwaldt and defenseman Stephane Chabot were named to the OUA East’s All-Rookie team last Wednesday.
Liske and Mirwaldt led the Gaels in scoring, registering 40 points each, tying for 14th in the country.
Chabot was a rock in defence for the Gaels this season, registering 11 points.
