Memorial soccer game Saturday

Richardson Stadium will play host to two all-star soccer games on Saturday for the fourth annual Greg Hulse Soccer Memorial.

The first of the games will kick off at 1 p.m. The competing teams will be made up of high school students from the Kingston area.

The tournament is staged in memory of Kingston native Greg Hulse, who played for the Gaels before dying in a car accident in 2005.

The proceeds raised from the tournament will support an Athletic Financial Award for students playing soccer at Queen’s.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for high school students and $2 for children aged five to 12. Admission is free for children under five. All tickets can be purchased at the PEC, over the phone at 533-2500 or at the gate.

Rugby women set to represent province and country

Second-year rugby players Andrea Wadsworth and Clare Miller have been selected to attend the upcoming Canadian U-20 selection camp in Toronto, while Emily Mattiusi, Susan Heald and Gaels’ co-captains Jocelyn Poirier and Shauna Geerts have been named to the Ontario U-23 team.

Wadsworth and Miller have taken part in rugby tours with the Canadian team in the past, with Miller, Mattiusi, Heald and Poirier winning silver with Canada at last year’s inaugural U-20 Nations Cup at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario.
