Amber Graham, Alexa Melo, and Ava Tan, all Comm ’27, have been elected as the incoming Commerce Society (ComSoc) executive team for the 2026-27 school year.
Following a Simply Voting platform issue causing a delay to the release of results, the uncontested Team AAA has been officially elected, with Graham as president, Melo as vice-president (operations), and Tan as vice-president (student affairs). The team received an 86 per cent vote of confidence from 113 voters, a turnout of 5.1 per cent.
In a statement to The Journal, the team wrote they’re “truly grateful to be elected as the ComSoc executive team and are excited to start working to make a positive impact and uplift commerce students.”
They aspire to impact the Commerce program by easing students’ lives through efficient and simple processes, as well as a strong support system.
“Our goal isn’t just to implement change, but to implement the right changes, the ones shaped by the people we represent.”
In a statement to The Journal, current ComSoc president, Prem Mehta-Spooner, Comm ’26, expressed his confidence in the new team, saying, “They will carry ComSoc’s momentum forward and continue strengthening the organization for the years ahead.”
He’s looking forward to staying in touch with Team AAA during the transition period and as they advance ComSoc in the upcoming school year.
Team AAA will officially begin their term as executive for ComSoc on May 1.
