As someone without much Canadian art background, A Canadian Collection: The Soloway Gift was a welcome introduction.

Kale is making a comeback in the kitchen as baked chips that trump their greasy potato counterpart.
Crisp, light and addicting is the best way I can describe my new savoury munching favourites.
Kale chips only require an easy 5-minute of preparation so the convenience and nutrients in these leaves make kale chips a winning combination for the student lifestyle and diet.

Ingredients
1 bunch of Kale
Olive oil
Salt

Anyone will tell you that hip hop’s more than a dance genre – it’s filled with a distinct and infectious style and culture.
I would spend hours on end watching YouTube videos of west coast choreographers, where hip hop dancers like Ellen Kim and Kyle Hanagami formed one of my first impactful and inspiring memories of dance.
Through personal encounters with student dancers on campus, we can gain a larger appreciation of the surrounding culture of dance.

Recent evidence suggests that perhaps we’re more closely related to E.T. than we might have previously thought.
A meteorite from Mars was recently found on Earth and was determined to contain chemicals that are believed to be involved in the formation of RNA. The fundamental and universal component of all life forms is DNA, which is created from RNA, implying that perhaps Mars provided Earth with the raw ingredient to sustain life.

Obstacle racing is no ordinary marathon, it’s an uphill battle.

Unlike the artist’s surname, his exhibit Critical Mass is anything but gloomy.

Summer is at its end, but Sweet Jets aren’t leaving the beach.

For some, a production stops when the red curtain closes. For Aimee Bouchard, co-founder and managing director of Colliding Scopes, no such curtain exists.

We’re headed back to the basics this season.
Preparing for this wardrobe shift means an inexhaustible chance to experiment with muted colours.
Fall is the harbinger of classic shades reclaiming their place in this season’s wardrobe.
Colours like camel, ivory white and slate grey, when paired with neutrals, can create an impactful and feminine outfit.

The days of summer are dwindling, but that doesn’t mean that our savoury summer favourites have to make their departure with the season’s end. S’mores are possibly one of my favourite memories of camping, but for those low-key weekend staycations, there’s one perfect alternative: s’more cookies.
S’more cookies are especially easy to prepare and bake. Think of these s’mores as a premium cookie – packed with oozy marshmallow bits, chocolate, and crumbled graham crackers.

Khaled Hosseini’s third book, And the Mountains Echoed, is another tearjerker filled with heartbreaking emotions and the theme of redemption. Hosseini rose to fame with the phenomenal success of The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, which depicted the war-torn terrain of a wounded Afghanistan, and the fragile relationships between father and son, as well as mother and daughter.

Brindan Baskaran is in Hong Kong on exchange for the upcoming year. He’ll be sharing his experience as a regular contributor for QJBlogs.
In a couple of hours, I’ll be welcomed by Hong Kong and all it has to offer.
In the past, I’ve been on numerous road trips with my family, and through those trips, I have developed a passion to travel. However, I’ve never been outside of North America, all my pages on my passport are blank and I’ve never set foot on an airplane. Now, I’m up for something bigger.

Chloe Grande is in France on exchange for the upcoming year. She will be sharing her experience as a regular contributor for QJBlogs.
In four months I will return from Lyon, France as a fluent French-speaking, love-struck and slightly heavier version of myself. Or so I’ve been told.

With the beginning of another school year comes a new course load and more responsibilities. Comparmentalizing your tasks and prioritizing various responsibilities may seem like a challenge after the slow pace of summer, but these five free applications will bring about organization and productivity to your school year.

The beginning of university signals many first experiences, including the choice to get inked. I may have embraced this freedom a little too freely, but I hold no regrets after three tattoos in first year.
Many people ask me about my tattoos, wondering about their personal significance, expecting a full-fledged story behind each one. For several months, I was confounded trying to compose a worthy answer to satisfy the curiosity of my family and friends – but, I refute the idea that tattoos must always be premised with a story.

It was noon on Aug. 10 when we made our way towards the ferry dock, where people were already lined up. Festival-goers munched on late Tim Horton’s breakfasts and basked (or, like me, baked) in the sun, discussing their excitement for the day’s line up.

A mix of veteran attendees, past Island dwellers and acts from years ago congregated this weekend at the Wolfe Island Music Festival (WIMF), bringing the sleepy community of Marysville to life.

Men’s office wear can be a little hard to navigate, especially in the summer when splashes of colour are making their appearances down the cubicle row. Deciphering what’s imitable and what’s tacky can be a pretty big feat when all you want to do is throw on a v-neck and call it another day at the office. But get heads turning and make some impressions this summer with these trending outfits just for the men:

Nothing beats making a homemade margarita. Making these drinks is a cost effective way to save on overpriced restaurant drinks and serving them is a great way to entertain friends and famiy. Follow these easy steps to creating and serving your own margaritas.
Watermelon Margarita
Watermelon is one of my favourite summer fruits, and this recipe definitely brings out the savoury and refreshing flavour. You can feel guiltless when you’re serving this drink as watermelon is full of anti-oxidants and is low in calories.
