Though it’s a chronological precursor to another Kingston music festival, Skeleton Park Music Festival gains recognition all on its own.

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, and Baz Luhrmann’s movie adaption can hardly be compared -– while entertaining and elaborate, the film doesn’t stay true to the text.

Finding the right mix between business casual and office chic can be difficult. Summer is all about dressing up in form-flattering outfits and eye-catching shades, and there’s no reason why office wear should put an end to this.

With almost every type of food establishment surrounding my workplace, I’m usually more inclined to eat out. When packing snacks for the office, I’ve found the presentation of food plays a significant role in my willingness to curb food spending.
Cubicle life nearly jeopardized my weight last summer, so this summer I’ve resolved to maintain a healthy diet. In addition to the staples of yogurt, fruits and veggies, there are a lot of creative ways to dress up healthy eating.
Here are a few of my favourite ideas:

It’s often you’ll find yourself on Highway 401 hoping for the shortest trip home from Kingston to Toronto. The weekend after I had finished exams called for a much needed trip to Montreal, and of course, the quickest route from Toronto to Montreal is the 401.

Three ingredients and no oven required? Sounds like the ideal exam-season dessert. This dessert takes no time at all and is lactose-free. You can easily also make this gluten-free! So pick up some chocolate chips, some almond milk and some rice krispies and enjoy!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups of unsweetened light coconut milk or almond milk
2 cups of rice crispies (or brown rice cereal if you’re going gluten-free)

House of Cards is corrupting in every sense of the word. I will admit to feeling a little mischievous myself after starting and ending the series over the span of a single weekend (no shame). I found myself strangely beginning to smirk and think in a sinful Southern accent, à la Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey. But alas, I’m not a corrupt politician in Washington but rather am one of the many Netflix viewers fulfilling the Netflix prophecy of binge-consumption when it released all 13 episodes at once.
